Kwantu Beans Co. was born in Cape Town from a simple frustration — too many South Africans were drinking ordinary coffee at extraordinary prices. We set out to change that by sourcing the finest 100% Arabica beans and roasting them in small batches, so every bag that leaves us is fresh, traceable, and full of character.
The word Kwantu speaks to belonging — to a place, a people, a ritual. Every blend we craft is a tribute to the farmers who grow the beans, the hands that roast them, and the families that pour them. From smallholder cooperatives in East Africa to your kitchen in Khayelitsha, Sandton or Stellenbosch, we keep the chain short, transparent, and proudly African.
As a B-BBEE Level 1 contributor, we reinvest in coffee education, youth barista training, and community pop-ups across the Western Cape. Every bag you order helps us pour back into the soil we came from.
